Founded in England by Moses Odartei and based in Ghana, West Africa, Jenako Dance Company comprises professional African cultural Performers.
In Africa, cultural dance is an acrobatic celebration of the important events that happen in Life, Examples are: initiations, births, marriages, harvest, worship, spirits and ancestors, deaths and funerals.
In modern Western culture the influence of African dance can be seen in dances such as tap, hip hop, crumping, break, jazz, swing and others.
